This work program helps to assess the quantity of risk and the effectiveness of the institution’s risk management processes as they relate to the security measures instituted to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and to instill accountability for actions taken on the institution’s systems.

Project work steps include: evaluate the processes that management uses to define access rights and privileges and determine if they are based on business needs; review processes that assign rights and privileges and ensure that they take into account and provide for adequate segregation of duties; and determine whether access rights are the minimum necessary for business purposes.
