Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) makes it illegal to discriminate against a qualified individual with a known disability in all employment practices. The purpose of this sample policy is to outline how an organization can operate under a policy of nondiscrimination in all employment practices in accordance with the provisions of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

In this example, the company prohibits all forms of discrimination, including employment discrimination, against any qualified individual with a disability. This document can be used as a general guide to understand and review the individuals with disabilities policies and procedures.
