IT System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Methodology Policy

The IT system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology promotes a controlled business environment where an orderly process takes place to minimize risk for implementing major new applications or changes to existing applications. This policy defines the methodologies and processes for effective implementation of application development projects and significant application upgrades.

This example applies to new business application implementations, significant new feature and functionality implementations to existing business applications and application upgrades. IT change management and IT system access and recertification procedures shall be used as it pertains to SDLC.
